We can’t provide any more tickets to sell at the door.
Thank you for your understanding.
Artist’s Night on Saturday, April 7th at the University of Toronto’s historic
Hart House will feature a variety of musical and comedic performances, including longtime JAVA favorites
After Hours, sketch/improv comedy troupe (and longtime supporters of the JCSA at U of T)
Asiansploitation, plus many more.
At our first ever Artist’s Night, JAVA (the JApanese Visitors Association) brings together three of our favorite activities: 1) supporting and sharing the message of local and international artists2) connecting Japanese-speaking Toronto visitors with local and international artists3) raising money for a good cause
Artist’s Night is a fundraiser with all proceeds being split evenly between the artists and JAVA. JAVA is raising funds to support the free seminars and other events and services we offer to the Japanese speakers and the “Japan-in-Toronto” community. Please come out, support JAVA, and support great performers.
Tickets are all sold out thanks to everyone’s support.
Tickets were $10 in advance, $12 at the door. Tickets were available through JAVA representatives at the
JCSA at U of T every Saturday from 14:30-17:00 (room 3202 in the

Artists and Schedule:
7:00 Doors Open
7:30-7:50 Tatsu from VPVTatsu began learning the fiddle completely by accident after meeting a friend on a monorail train in Okinawa, 6 years after being disillusioned by classical violin music. He plays a few different styles of fiddle music, mostly Irish but with a smattering of Scottish, Breton and a new addition, French Canadian. He also plays the Bodhran, an Irish drum that is a lot of fun to fool around with. He will play a selection of tunes from these diverse areas plus show you what the Bodhran drum can do.
7:50-8:00 Toronto Bozu
A fresh new manzai-combi containing the rich ingredients that bring out Canadian & Japanese flavour. Toronto Bozu brings together the Akhil, Yuho, and the latest Japanese o-warai.
8:00-8:15 Kohei Sakamoto
“Hi, I’m Kohei Sakamoto. I’m a Japanese university student in Japan. I came here to study English and do something awesome that can’t be done in Japan.
I started playing a piano at the age of nine. However, my piano skill is awful.lol
So, from Artist’s Night, I’ll change it to awesome:D
Please sing with me:)
